Claude Implementation for Small Business Teams

Claude implementation for small business means getting Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant, set up and working for your whole team, connected to the tools you already use, such as Google Workspace and Slack. We handle the setup, build reusable projects and workflows around your everyday work and train your staff, for teams that want to skip the learning curve.

Who is Claude implementation for?

Claude implementation is for small and mid-sized business teams that want an AI assistant doing real work, like reports, proposals and email, without each person climbing the learning curve alone. It fits owners who want everyone using AI the same way, and teams whose last AI tool was bought and never adopted.

  • Owners and operators who wear ten hats and want their team's AI set up right the first time
  • Office managers, admins and HR staff who spend too much of the week on reports, proposals and email
  • Teams that already pay for an AI tool but aren't getting much out of it
  • Businesses choosing between Claude and ChatGPT that want a straight, honest answer

If it's just you trying Claude for your own work, you may not need a paid setup. We set up Claude for teams that want to skip the learning curve together.

What does a Claude setup include?

A Claude setup includes four things: getting it running for your business in Claude Desktop and Cowork, connections to the tools your team already uses, reusable projects and workflows built around your everyday work, and hands-on training for your staff. The exact scope goes into a written proposal before any work starts.

  • Claude Desktop and Claude Cowork setup, so everyone on the team starts from the same place
  • Connections to the tools your team already uses, such as Google Workspace and Slack
  • Reusable projects and workflows built around the work your team repeats
  • Hands-on training in plain English, so your staff use it day to day
  • A written proposal with a fixed price or a range, then weekly or biweekly progress updates
  • Ongoing support as a monthly plan, if you want help after launch

How does Claude implementation for small business work?

A Claude implementation follows the same four steps as every project we take on (Discover, Design, Build and Deploy), and you stay in the loop the whole way. It starts with a free 20-minute consult and ends with your staff trained on a setup built around their own work.

  1. Discover

A free 20-minute consult, then a scoping conversation about how your team works, where the time goes and which tools you already use.

  2. Design

We plan your setup, including which tools to connect and which workflows to build first, and send a written proposal with a fixed price or a range.

  3. Build

We set up Claude, connect your tools and build your projects and workflows. We ship a first version fast and send weekly or biweekly progress updates.

  4. Deploy

We train your staff on the setup so it actually gets used. After that, ongoing support is available as a monthly plan.

Which tools does a Claude setup use?

A Claude setup uses Claude Desktop and Cowork, connected to the tools your team already uses, such as Google Workspace and Slack, so it works where your team already works. For systems of your own, like a CRM or a database, we can build an MCP server, a connector that lets the assistant work with that system.

  • Claude Desktop, Anthropic's app for your computer
  • Claude Cowork, which takes on multi-step tasks for you in the desktop app
  • Google Workspace, including Gmail, Google Drive and Google Calendar
  • Slack, where your team already chats
  • Claude skills, folders of instructions the assistant loads when a task calls for them
  • MCP servers, built on the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting AI assistants to tools and data

What's the difference between Claude Cowork and Claude Code?

Claude Code is Anthropic's agentic coding tool, made for building and maintaining software. Cowork is Claude working through tasks for you in the desktop app, made for everyday work that doesn't involve code. For most small business teams, Cowork is the place to start, and Claude Code fits the people who work on software.

"Agentic" means the AI works through a multi-step task on its own instead of answering one message at a time. Both tools work that way. The difference is the kind of work each one is built for.

Claude Code training for teams makes sense when you have people who build or maintain software. It's also the tool behind custom helpers, like the subagents we built for an app launch that triage beta feedback and run a pre-release checklist.

Claude vs ChatGPT for business: how do they compare?

Neither Claude nor ChatGPT is the best choice for every business. Both offer business plans that keep your data out of model training by default, and both support MCP, so the right pick depends on your work, the tools you already have and which one your team will actually use.

The fairest test is your own work. Give both the same real tasks, like a proposal or a customer email, and compare the results before you commit your team to either one.

We set up and train teams on Claude, and our founder, Nate Araskog, has used it in his own businesses since early 2025. Choosing tools and models is also part of our AI consulting, and if ChatGPT is the better fit for your work, we'll tell you.

Is Claude safe for company data?

Whether Claude is safe for your company's data depends first on which plan your team uses. Anthropic says data from its Team and Enterprise plans and the API isn't used to train its models by default, while chats on consumer Free, Pro and Max plans may be used for training unless the user opts out.

We're honest about risk and about when not to use AI. These plain rules are a good place to start:

  • Keep company work on a business plan (Team or Enterprise) or the API, not on personal Free, Pro or Max accounts.
  • If anyone does use a consumer account, have them check whether they've opted out of model training. Anthropic updated its consumer terms in late 2025, so older assumptions may be out of date.
  • Agree on a simple team rule for information that should never go into any AI tool.
  • Connect only the tools and folders each workflow actually needs.

Questions about Claude for small business teams

Is Claude better than ChatGPT for business?

Neither Claude nor ChatGPT is better for every business; the right choice depends on the work you need done. Both offer business plans that keep your data out of model training by default. The fairest test is to give both the same real tasks and compare the results. We set up and train teams on Claude, but if ChatGPT fits your work better, we'll tell you.

Does Claude train on my company's data?

On a business plan, your company's data isn't used for model training by default. Anthropic says that applies to its Team and Enterprise plans and the API. On consumer Free, Pro and Max plans, chats may be used for training unless the user opts out, a change Anthropic made in late 2025. For company work, a business plan is the safer place to start.

Can non-developers use Claude Code?

Non-developers can use Claude Code, but most don't need to. It's Anthropic's agentic coding tool, meaning it works through programming tasks on its own, so it suits people who build or maintain software. For reports, proposals and other everyday office work, Cowork in the Claude desktop app is usually the easier fit. If your team has technical staff, Claude Code training can be part of the plan.

Do we need a Claude consultant, or can we set it up ourselves?

You can set it up yourselves, and for one person trying it out, that's often enough. A Claude consultant earns their keep when a whole team needs it connected to shared tools, built around repeat work and actually adopted. That's who our paid setup is for: teams that want to skip the learning curve. The free 20-minute consult will tell you which side you're on.

How much does Claude implementation cost?

We don't publish prices, because every team starts in a different place. After a free 20-minute consult and a scoping conversation, you get a written proposal with a fixed price or a range, based on the tools to connect, the workflows to build and the training your team needs. Payments follow milestones, starting with a deposit, and scope changes need a written change order, so there's never a surprise invoice.

How our pricing works

Can Claude connect to Google Workspace and Slack?

Yes, and connecting it to the tools your team already uses, such as Google Workspace and Slack, is part of our setup. For systems of your own, like a CRM or a database, we can build an MCP server. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard, introduced by Anthropic in November 2024, for connecting AI assistants to tools and data.

What happens after the Claude setup is done?

We train your staff on the projects and workflows we built, so they can use them day to day. If you'd like help after that, ongoing support is available as a monthly plan. And when a task keeps coming up, we can turn it into a custom Claude skill that your whole team can run the same way every time.
